My wife and I visited the Pacific Hotel this weekend And were impressed with some of the improvements that the hotel is making but also was very impressed with some of the historical features that still exist. It's nice not to walk into a hotel that is all the same. It's nice to see something different. The hospitality was second to none and it made our stay very enjoyable. The location was also a bonus for us as we could walk to restaurants and And other things that we wanted to see as Visitors to this small town. If you're looking for clean rooms and to be treated Like they appreciate your business I Recommend definitely stay here.
I don't understand the mediocre review number: It's a beautiful old (for American standards) charming hotel with both: old elegance and mid century modern architectural renewal. Modern restaurant, nice ambiance. I wish I could have stayed longer! Beautiful rooms with balcony and view of the water. Modern bathrooms. Better than most hotels in same price range. Lovely town, the hotel is near everything.
Lovely place with so much history, rooms are carefully decorated & with actual keys you don't have to worry about your debit cart nullifying your room access. Real paintings! Antique furniture! The most lovely person gave me a tour of the hotel. I don't usually do reviews of anything but staying here was such a good experience I couldn't stay quiet.
I travel a lot for business and I'm fortunate that I'm usually put up in some really nice but usually generic business hotels. When I was here in Wiarton to visit family, I was really eager to try The Pacific because of its history, look, personality and convenience of being right downtown. It is still being renovated after being neglected for a while (from what I've heard from family members) but what a nice hotel it is. Lucille and Ivan were very nice hosts and were quite hospitable. The place was nice and quiet, with wonderful decor and just a nice vibe. Will definitely be coming again.
